What an honor! We were recognized as the Business/Organization of the Year Award at the Lead Hill & Diamond City Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet! Our very own Mr. Markle was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for the dedication he has shown to our students and the legacy he has built here in his 38 years of teaching. Mr. William "Bill" Markle won our Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Markle has taught for 38 years and coached for 30 of those, including baseball, softball, and golf. He has consistently striven to instill the qualities of self-discipline, dignity, respect, and chivalry into his students and players, making men out of boys and setting a high standard for the young ladies. He has built a legacy that will not soon be forgotten, dedicating his life to his students. For those reasons, we were delighted to honor Mr. Markle with our Lifetime Achievement Award.
Last but not least, the Lead Hill School Distric won our Business/Organization of the Year Award. Employing over 60 individuals ranging from entry-level to high-earning, the Lead Hill School District has established itself as a key opportunity provider in our small communities. The administration has set a positive, caring tone for its employees, and morale is high. Not to mention, the school is a key pillar in our region, helping to shape the future workforce and builders of our communities! Every student is known by name by every staff member, from the Superintendent to the Cafeteria Ladies. What a privilege to grow up in a place where you're known, and more than that, loved. The impact our school here has made can not be measured in numbers and should not be understated. And for those reasons, it was our privilege to Award the Lead Hill School District with our Business/Organization of the Year Award.
