Mr. Jackson's 2nd grade class were learning about building materials and discussed how some buildings are now built by 3D printers!
To see this on a smaller scale, they went on a field trip to the library, where Ms. Curtis taught them how 3D printers work.
We discussed how the printer works, then began a 3D printer project for the classroom. While the printer worked overnight, the camera within it recorded a time-lapsed video of the process.
Ms. Curtis delivered the golden goose to 2nd grade this morning and our students will be able to watch how it was printed this afternoon.
Mr. Jackson's class will be voting on the name of the goose.
This 3D printer was purchased with a STEM grant from Arkansas Science Coalition for the elementary school and is housed in the library for all to see.
Stop by to see it work during Parent/Teacher conferences!
