
UPDATE ON BUSES:
The Diamond City bus (HORSE) will be the only bus that will run one to one and half hours late tomorrow morning (5/11). Again, these students will not be counted tardy. After school drop-offs will be at the normal time. If anything changes, we will keep you updated! Thank you for understanding.

Due to a shortage of bus drivers tomorrow, May 11th, any student that rides the Cow or Horse bus will be picked up one to one and a half hours later than usual. These students will not be counted tardy. Drop off times after school will vary as well.

Kid's Free Fishing Derby

at Lead Hill COE Park in Diamond City
Fishing from 9am-11am
Registration begins at 8am
Kids 6-12 years old are invited to attend. Bring your own poles, bait, stringers, and tackle!
A Grab & Go meal of hot dogs, drinks, and chips available.
Meal free to registered participants.
The Arkansas Game & Fish are providing catfish prizes, games, and great times for each registered participant.

There will be a Watermelon Eating Contest taking place on Wednesday, May 24th for Junior High and High School Students. If you are interested in signing up, please add your name to the list located in the K-12 Office or Mrs. Rushing's Classroom.

The awards ceremony for seniors tonight will be at 7pm instead of 6pm.
It will still be held on the cafeteria stage.

Mrs. Mistler's Class participating in GLOW Day. Students were encouraged to come in pajamas and compete in silent reading competitions while wearing glow-in-the-dark sticks. Prizes were drawn every hour for those that participated in the reading challenges.


Senior Week schedule:
On Sunday, May 7th @ 4 pm, Pastor Willie Bousquet will be speaking at the Baccalaureate to encourage the graduating seniors. Seniors do NOT need to wear their caps and gowns to this event.
On Monday, May 8th, seniors will leave school at 8:30 am for their trip to Silver Dollar City. We will leave SDC at 3:30 pm to make it back for the Senior Awards at 6 pm. Seniors are asked to wear their caps and gowns to this event.
On Friday, May 12th, seniors are asked to be at First Baptist in Lead Hill at 8 am for the Senior Parade. After the parade, we will go to Jamie's Restaurant in Harrison for breakfast. We will have graduation practice at noon, and then the Senior/Faculty basketball game will be at 1 pm.
Graduation is Saturday, May 13th at 10 am. Please arrive by 9:30.

Anyone who would like to try out for cheerleading, there will be practice on Monday, May 8th and Tuesday, May 9th until 5:30. Tryouts will be Wednesday, May 10th. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Atchley.

SENIORS!
If you haven’t already, please let Mrs. Sindland or Mrs. Peerce know if you will or will not be able to go to Silver Dollar City on Monday the 8th. We need to be notified no later than 11am today.

Due to the rainy forecast for tomorrow in Springfield, the kindergarten field trip to Dickerson Park Zoo is being rescheduled to Tuesday May 9th. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.

Our Senior Honors & Cording Ceremony will be Monday, May 8th at 6 p.m. in the Lead Hill Cafeteria. We will be recognizing our honor graduates, presenting academic awards and cords for graduation.

April's Terrific Kids!


Our Spring Concert and Art Show will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd in the new gym. We will have two separate concerts this year. K-6 will begin at 5:30 (arrive by 5:15) and High School (grades 7-12) will begin at 6:45 (arrive by 6:30). The high school rock band will play between the two concerts. Students have been working diligently in their art classes. After each concert there will be time to view all of the amazing artwork. Please come out and support our talented students involved in the arts here at Lead Hill School.

Congratulations to the Lead Hill baseball team! The Tigers defeated the Jasper Pirates to win the district championship. The Tigers will now play in the regional tournament at 10 am Thursday 05/04 at the Harrison Sports Complex
