It's a rainy day, so Mrs. Atchley's 3rd grade class is collaborating and creating together during indoor recess!
LEAD HILL BASKETBALL RED & WHITE GAMES
WHEN: Thursday, October 12th @ 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: High School New Gym
COST: (2) Bath Towels or Laundry Detergent
If you choose not to bring bath towels or laundry detergent, admission to the games will be $4.00 for an adult and $3.00 for a student. All admission proceeds will go towards our Lead Hill School District summer programs.
We will also have our PIE AUCTION with all proceeds going towards the boy’s and girl’s basketball teams.
Bring a dessert to be auctioned off. The desserts need to be dropped off on Thursday, October 12th. There will be a table set up in the hallway next to the coaches offices. Please use the back lower level entrance near the coaches offices.
Peewee Basketball (Grades 4-6) will be going to a jamboree in Western Grove on Saturday, October 7th. Players need to be at the Lead Hill Gym at 7:00 a.m. to ride the bus since the first game will start at 8:30 a.m. There will be no locker rooms, so players need to come dressed in their uniform provided by their coach. The last game will start at 1:00 p.m., so they should return around 2:10 p.m. that afternoon. A copy of the game schedule is also attached.
Lead Hill FFA invites you to the Annual BBQ & Basketball! They will be serving the community a FREE BBQ DINNER before the Red & White Games on Thursday, October 12th! The meal will be served at 5:00 p.m. and the games will start at 5:30 p.m.

The Lead Hill Booster Club will be having a fundraising event! We have coordinated with the basketball coaches and we will be holding a Free Throw Shoot - Out! Booster Club funds go towards our student athletes at Lead Hill and your participation would be greatly appreciated! See the attached flyer for details.
Lead Hill Jazz Band, Choir, and FFA were set up at the 2nd Annual Old Thyme Harvest Festival over the weekend!
Friday, October 6th will be an early dismissal day. Students will dismiss at 1:00 p.m.
Don't forget that all order cards and money collected for the elementary fundraiser are due on Monday, October 2nd! All checks should be made out to the school.

Free Flu Vaccines for Students and Staff on October 19th at 8:30 a.m.
Boone County Health Department will be at Lead Hill Schools providing the immunizations. A signed consent is required; consents were sent home with each student, but if another is needed, please let us know. Please have forms turned in by October 18th.
Congratulations to Mr. Abraham on being awarded the Arvest Bank "We Love Teachers" Campaign! Mr. Abraham won $500 for his classroom!
Mr. Abraham voluntarily came to ballgames and took pictures that he shared with faculty, staff and students. He teaches in a more non-traditional style and has a classroom that is very comforting and inviting to students. He wanted to be a teacher because he loves kids and watching them open their minds to learning new things. He relates well because he is still young at heart!
Jostens will return on Monday, October 2nd to collect any Senior order forms or answer questions you have. They will meet with you in the Beastro around 1:00 p.m.

Join us for the Fall Festival on Saturday, October 7th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Lead Hill School! Admission is $1.00 for students and $2.00 for adults. We'll have games & prizes, food, and more! We will be serving a hot dog combo for $3.00 (hot dog, chips, and water).There will be a Costume Contest with two grade-level divisions (Kindergarten-2nd grade & 3rd-6th grade) - Prizes will be given!! The Junior Class will be hosting a Petting Zoo at the FFA Barn ($1.00 admission). We look forward to seeing you there!!
