The state has allowed us to alter our 2023-24 calendar due to no longer being able to utilize AMI days during inclement weather. We have changed from a Traditional calendar (178 days) to an Alternate calendar (1,068 hours). Using this calendar, we were able to bank 8 instructional days. We have used 5 of those days so far, which puts our new last day of school on May 21st. Any additional days missed will be added to the end of this new calendar.
Due to some information being shared with school districts, it is possible we will not be in session on April 8th for the solar eclipse. We will make a decision about that as soon as we can and as more information becomes available.

Green Eggs & Ham day! Elementary students dressed in green and ate Dr. Seuss themed cookies!! Mrs. Criger and Mrs. Clary were special guest readers in Mrs. Cowart's and Mrs. Grinder's classes for Dr. Seuss Week.
There will be a Spring Fling Dance for students in 6th-8th grades on Friday, March 15th! This will be held in the Cafeteria from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission will be $3.00 per student. Snacks will be available for purchase.

One Fish, Two Fish 🐟 Elementary students kicked off Dr. Seuss/Read Across America Week by wearing red & blue yesterday.
Mrs. Grinder's class read "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" and graphed their colored goldfish!
Hunter Ricketts shot a 292 and finished 1st place in the High School Boys Division at the State Archery Tournament in Hot Springs!! He will qualify to compete in the National Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky!
